SKYE: I'm on the Top of the W(orld)

Where the swaggers roam... literally on the top of the W.

My brother told me about this place about a month ago. A friend of his, someone he knows, runs the place. ROOF DECK, GRASS, DRINKS & SUNSET won me over. So after our office holiday dinner, I rounded up the gang and we headed our way to this new "IT" place at the Fort.

LOCATION:  The Fort, Global City, PHILIPPINES
It's on the roof deck of the W building just beside Fully Booked.
(the building that's a car showroom)

ENTRANCE: The way in is though the W Lobby which is along 28th Street
Go towards the farthest end of the lobby and an elevator would take you up

AMBIANCE: Cozy and Chill
It's all about the breeze, the view, the synthetic grass & the amazing wood work

OUR ESCAPADE:

They have this gigantic tent that billows over the roof deck with some bad-ass fan attached to it

We were seated near the enclosed area but they have this nice red bar at the far end plus a great DJ that plays the perfect music I'm wishing to be on loop over my iPod (wishing I could bring him home too)

Here's the side overlooking Serendra (too close to home)

Their tables are fabulous pieces of hard wood plus! it has amazing cooling bins built in!!!

As for the drinks, we chose a caraffe over a bottle... thinking that we'd try out their mixed drinks
Soon enough after 3 caraffes shared by 5... two of us were buzzed!

Drinks are reasonable at about Php 500-600 per caraffe (1 liter of cocktail) & it was Php 800+ for my favorite Long Island Iced Tea (which was by the way, one of the great mixes I've tasted)

THE VERDICT:

It is definitely a great place to chill and bring some friends over. The ambiance is perfect for those getting-to-know-you conversations and it is a new take on city nightlife. The drink mixes are also great and they don't scrimp on the alcohol. Service is relatively average since we had to call on a waiter for 4 times just to have our orders taken.
